My analytical research interests include: the analysis of popular music, pitch-class set analysis and mathematical modelling of pitch. Current analytical projects include: the analysis of the music of the ‘blues queens’ of the 1920s and a collaborative analysis of a Grateful Dead song. Some of my work  can be viewed at my page.

In terms of technological research, I am engaged with the development of signal processing applications for the electric guitar. Many of these can be heard here.
